Voice

• Zoom Phone - The standard telephone service at Virginia Tech delivers voice communications over the data network using Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies. All Virginia Tech employees (full and part time staff, faculty, wage, and graduate students on assistantship) have access to Zoom Phone and other core communications and network services.  
• Analog - basic telephone service suitable for use in offices and conference rooms. Analog service is also utilized to support elevator phones, emergency blue-light telephones, fax machines, existing conference phones, and modems.  On-campus residential students may choose to subscribe to an analog telephone voice service.
• Cellular - NI&S offers cellular voice, data, and mobile broadband subscriptions and equipment utilizing Verizon contracts for discounted rates and special deals.
