9600 Series IP Deskphones

Avaya’s 9600 series IP telephones are designed to enhance productivity, teamwork, and collaboration.

The 9600 series phones are designed to leverage your existing wired access connection to Virginia Tech’s data network to deliver brilliant audio quality. The phones also come equipped with a full-duplex speakerphone and support a variety of headsets to improve in building mobility.

The phones feature context-sensitive graphical interfaces and high-resolution color displays, which provide convenient access to basic and advanced call handling features.

Fixed feature buttons provide users one-touch access to call history, personal contact lists, and voice messaging. The phones can also be configured to display the status (idle, busy, do-not-disturb) of other users to improve efficiency in establishing contact with colleagues.

* The 9611g is the standard model telephone that will be provided as a replacement to all existing ROLM telephones as part of the campus-wide unified communications project.


NI&S Phone Warranty

Effective September 1, 2019, Network Infrastructure & Services (NI&S) will provide a twelve (12) month warranty, beginning on the installation date, for phones purchased directly from NI&S.

All sales are final. Devices may not be returned. No refunds will be provided.


Support for Third Party Devices

As part of the activation fee, NI&S will provide up to one hour of technical support to help provision third party devices. If assistance beyond this initial hour is required, additional charges may apply. Devices may include but not be limited to IP telephones, Polycom devices, and Crestron conference systems.
