Unified Messaging

Unified Messaging allows you to receive email notification of new voicemail messages, including an audio copy of the voicemail.  Setting up Unified Messaging is the same as adding a new account to your email client.  General instructions and settings are below, as well as illustrated PDF guides for some popular operating systems and email applications.

General Settings

Add an email account to your application of choice using the following settings:

Email address:

Blacksburg campus:
[Your five-digit phone extension]

National Captial Region:
[Your five-digit phone extension]

Protocol: IMAP
Incoming server:

Blacksburg campus: (using SSL on port 993)

National Capital Region: (using SSL on port 993)

Outgoing server: (not to be used for this service)
Username: Your five-digit extension
Password: The password you created when you setup your UC voicemail account.
